Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, partners, suppliers, banks, and payment providers.
• Advise internal teams on legal matters affecting regulated financial services, payments, and day-to-day operations.
• Support regulatory projects, licence-related work, and the implementation of new legal requirements.
• Work with Compliance on policies, procedures, customer terms, and responses to legal or regulatory enquiries.
• Identify legal risks in new products, partnerships, and business arrangements, and recommend practical solutions.
• Coordinate with external counsel when specialist advice or representation is required.
• Maintain accurate legal records and keep management informed of significant legal developments and risks.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experience working in or advising a regulated fintech or financial services company.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Good understanding of the legal and regulatory issues affecting fintech, payments, or related financial services.
• Ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and provide commercially practical advice.
• Strong written and spoken English, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, digital assets, or MiCA-related matters is an advantage.
