Job Description
The Lighting Designer will be responsible for creating innovative lighting concepts and technical designs that enhance both aesthetic and functional aspects of various projects. This role involves close collaboration with architects, interior designers, and project managers to deliver exceptional lighting solutions that meet design intent, budget, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative lighting design concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
- Prepare lighting layouts, technical drawings, specifications, and control system details.
- Conduct site visits and lighting studies to assess spatial and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure lighting integration within overall design plans.
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures and technologies based on design goals, energy efficiency, and budget.
- Use lighting simulation software to evaluate illumination levels and visualize design effects.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and sustainability standards in lighting design.
- Participate in client presentations and provide professional advice on lighting strategies and solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in lighting design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Strong understanding of lighting principles, fixture types, and control systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
