The Regulatory & Financial Risk team of Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus is recruiting a Manager – Licensing & Financial Risk.

The Manager – Licensing & Financial Risk Role

During your tenure, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

·         Delivery: 

o        Manage and lead the overall success of a client engagement.

o        Create innovative solutions to client problems.

o        Define the overall approach/methodology for the engagement.

o        Ensure high quality deliverables within appropriate timelines.

o        Ability to manage multiple engagements at a given time.

 

·         Client: 

o        Build an understanding of client/market requirements.

o        Ensure a high level of client satisfaction to retain clients and generate additional business.

o        Build relationships with key clients and help identify leads for potential opportunities.

 

·         Business development:

o        Lead the proposal development to respond to client RFPs. 

o        Define and design the solution/methodology to meet client requirements.

o        Take the lead in developing eminence materials/market go-to materials to support business development. 

 

·         Project management: 

o        Leading, managing, and delivering multiple projects whilst maintaining project budgets and timelines.

 

·         Team working:

o        Manage and work with team members, coach junior colleagues, and share knowledge and experience.

o        Work well independently as well as in a team-oriented environment, including with team members from diverse backgrounds.

 

·         Personal development: 

o        Proactively identify opportunities to build on strengths and address development areas.

o        Lead a team to deliver multiple engagements across the year to key clients in the financial services sector.

 

·         Key areas include:

o        Credit risk management (policies, underwriting, monitoring, collections, etc.)

o        Enterprise risk management (risk governance, risk appetite, reporting, etc.)

o        Basel regulations

o        Capital management and optimization

o        Stress testing

 

·         Technical skills:

o        Deep knowledge of enterprise risk and credit risk concepts.

o        Understanding of relevant local and Basel regulations.

o        Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.

o        Policy writing (i.e., procedures, work instructions).

o        Fluency in English.

Qualifications & Experience

·         An MBA or other relevant master’s degree.

·         Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are preferred.

·         At least 8-10 years of experience in a management consulting firm; Big 4 experience is a plus.

·         Prior experience in leading, managing, and delivering multiple projects while maintaining project budgets and timelines; desirable experience with policy writing (i.e., procedures, work instructions).

·         Ability to apply knowledge of organizational structures, functions, and procedures to solve problems and support the implementation of prescribed systems, anticipating the impact of changes recommended or instituted.

·         Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Arabic is a plus.

·         Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet client deadlines and business needs.

·         Strong proficiency in standard PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.

·         Full mobility and willingness to travel.
