Position Overview

SEMIO Productions is seeking a talented and motivated Post-Production Associate to join our growing team.

This is an entry-level role designed for someone passionate about film, storytelling and post-production workflows. The position extends beyond traditional editing and includes involvement in media preparation, research, workflow organization, sound design support and post-production asset management.

You will work closely with our senior editors, directors and producers to transform raw footage into polished commercial content. The role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced filmmakers and learn the craft of post-production in a professional production environment.

Your responsibilities will span multiple stages of the post-production pipeline—from organizing media and preparing edits to assisting with sound design, archiving and workflow management.

This position is ideal for someone eager to develop both creative and technical post-production skills while contributing to high-end commercial work.

Key Responsibilities

·      Collaborate with editors, producers and directors to understand the creative vision and production goals of each project.

·      Assist in shaping video content by preparing edits, assembling sequences and supporting the editorial process.

·      Organize, manage and archive video assets while maintaining a structured and accessible media library.

·      Prepare project files, transcode footage and assist with media management across different post-production workflows.

·      Support sound design processes including the selection and integration of music, sound effects and foley elements.

·      Prepare rough cuts and revisions for internal and client review, incorporating feedback efficiently.

·      Research references, footage and creative approaches that support storytelling and visual direction.

·      Assist with maintaining efficient post-production workflows and project organization.

·      Stay informed on emerging tools, techniques and trends in editing and post-production.

Qualifications

·      Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required).

·      Basic familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a plus.

·      Strong interest in film editing, storytelling and post-production.

·      Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

·      Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.

·      Strong collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

·      A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your work (link required).

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of colour grading and sound design.

Familiarity with motion graphics or animation workflows.

Understanding of production pipelines, codecs and media formats.

Experience with camera operation or on-set production is a plus.
