Operations Control Center (OCC) Agent – Larnaca Airport

 

Full-Time

Swissport Cyprus has been providing ground handling, cargo and executive aviation services at Larnaca and Paphos airports since May 2008. These include activities like the movement of the aircraft, baggage handling as well as check-in and gate services. Why we need you

The Operations Control Centre (OCC) is the heartbeat of Swissport’s ground operations. 

You are the key to keeping our ground operations synchronized. Your role is to ensure that aircraft, baggage, and staff are deployed effectively, that real-time decisions keep everything moving smoothly, and that every challenge is met with a swift and strategic response. 

 

Here’s what you’ll be doing

You will be the nerve center of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. In this role, you will:

• Monitor and update operational systems for the next 48 hours, ensuring accuracy in aircraft type, stand allocation, and baggage belt assignments.
• Provide real-time flight monitoring to anticipate and respond to delays, diversions, and schedule disruptions.
• Record key performance indicators (KPIs) and document all additional services provided.
• Serve as the communication link between Swissport, airlines, airport authorities, and third-party suppliers.
• Manage workforce planning by analyzing resources and allocating manpower efficiently.
• Handle special airline requests and ensure their operational needs are met.
• Dispatch operational messages and prepare critical airline documentation, including flight reports.
• Allocate ramp, cleaning, and loading teams for optimal efficiency.
• Manage daily staff assignments, accounting for shift changes, sick leave, and absences.
• Implement emergency response plans in accordance with company protocols, including proactive communication during adverse weather conditions.

 

You need these qualifications

• You have a high school diploma (a college/university degree is a plus).
• You have a valid driver’s license.
• You are fluent in Greek and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office and operational software.
• You excel under pressure and can make quick, strategic decisions.
• You thrive in a team environment and have strong collaboration skills.
• You are committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• You are flexible and ready to work in a 24/7 operational setting, including holidays, weekends, and night shifts.

 

It would be nice if…

• You have experience in an airport operations or OCC role.
• You have worked in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
• You have experience with workforce planning and resource optimization.
• You have a passion for aviation and a keen understanding of airline operations.
