Payment Support Team Leader
Job Description
Our top-notch team of professionals is rapidly growing, and we are currently looking for an experienced Payment Support Team Leader to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support the Payment Support team to ensure high performance and operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily payment operations and ensure smooth communication with banks and payment providers.
- Monitor team responses to sales inquiries, emails, messages, and payment-related requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Act as the main escalation point for complex payment-related issues and liaise with correspondent banks and third-party payment providers for resolution.
- Monitor payment processes, identify operational risks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate updates within the internal knowledge base and operational procedures.
- Prepare operational reports, track team performance metrics, and provide regular feedback to management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure adherence to payment industry regulations, internal policies, and operational standards.
- Train and onboard new team members while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field will be considered a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in payments operations, payment support, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of payment industry regulations, standards, processes, and payment ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience working with PSPs, correspondent banks, and payment service integrations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to operational accuracy and process improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills.
