Portfolio Analyst
Job Description
The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for driving the scientific and strategic assessment of pharmaceutical products to support future portfolio growth.
This role leads end-to-end product evaluation activities, from clinical evidence review and therapeutic landscape assessment to strategic recommendations that support commercialization decisions. The Portfolio Analyst translates clinical data and market insights into clear, actionable portfolio proposals, enabling robust decision-making for future product opportunities.
The role operates in a fast-paced, scientifically driven environment and requires strong analytical capabilities combined with hands-on execution.
A Challenging Task
Lead end-to-end product evaluations across multiple therapeutic areas, from initial screening through comprehensive clinical and strategic assessment.
Critically review clinical trial data, published literature, and real-world evidence to assess efficacy, safety, and therapeutic relevance.
Evaluate therapeutic landscapes, including standards of care, treatment guidelines, unmet medical needs, and competitive dynamics.
Develop structured evaluation reports summarizing clinical evidence, product positioning, administration routes, posology, and competitive advantages.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to support business cases and commercialization opportunities.
Engage with healthcare professionals and external experts to validate unmet needs, clinical relevance, and market potential.
Compare products within therapeutic areas, identifying differentiators and assessing clinical value versus existing treatment options.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of evaluation frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
A convincing background
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or another relevant Life Sciences discipline.
Advanced degree (PharmD, MSc, MBA, or equivalent) required.
Ability to critically assess the strength and quality of clinical evidence supporting pharmaceutical products.
Strong understanding of evidence evaluation, therapeutic positioning, and clinical value assessment.
Knowledge of international treatment guidelines and standards of care.
Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, structured, and actionable insights.
Experience engaging with healthcare professionals and external experts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical data, guidelines, and competitive landscapes.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex clinical and strategic information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
High level of professionalism, scientific rigor, and attention to detail.
Self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) required.
