Post-Doctoral Fellow/Laboratory Scientific Officer

We are looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow/Laboratory Scientific Officer to join the  Bioinformatics Department of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. 

The Bioinformatics Department is active in research, education, and laboratory services, in line with the mission of CING. Currently, the CING Bioinformatics Department leads the AI in Health in the Cyprus AI-Factory Antenna, Pharos-CY.

JOB SUMMARY 

The successful candidate(s) will contribute to the HORIZON-EUROHPC-JU-2025-AIFA-01 regarding the Cyprus AI-Factory Antenna, Pharos-CY working in the development of AI in Health solutions/applications/services.

The position(s) is/are for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

• A BSc and/or PhD degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Chemical Sciences, or a closely related field
• Strong command of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning/Deep Learning.
• Strong command of computer programming preferably in python.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
