Job Description

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for the full procurement cycle at CMMI, including sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing goods and services in compliance with internal policies and applicable public procurement regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective purchasing, supplier management, and accurate procurement documentation, while supporting internal teams and maintaining a professional supplier interface. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the end-to-end public procurement process (requisitions, RFQs/RFPs, evaluations, preparation of contracts, handling of deliveries, and monitoring the inventory). 

  • Manage all procurement procedures of the CMMI in compliance with corporate, governmental and EU procurement policies and standards, code of conduct and operating guidelines. 

  • Ensure compliance with Cyprus national and EU public procurement regulations and assist in using the official e-Procurement system. 

  • Evaluate suppliers for quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and compliance. 

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare procurement reports based on regulations, legislation and internal procedures  

  • Liaise with internal departments to consolidate procurement needs and support budget planning. 

  • Monitor procurement agreements performance and resolve any supplier vendor-related issues. 

  • Maintain and update public procurement competitions records and register and ensure audit readiness. 

  • Support training and awareness of public procurement procedures across departments. 

  • Carry out other administrative tasks as required  

 

Qualifications & Skills 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Public Administration, Law, or a related field with procurement. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. 

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. 

Preferred: 

  • Familiarity with Cyprus public procurement procedures and use of the e-Procurement system. 

  • Experience in governmental and EU procurement policies and standards 

  • Experience working in EU and National-funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, ERDF). 

  • Knowledge of procurement management and supply chain oversight.
