Position Overview:
 

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Risk Manager to join our team within a regulated investment firm in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risks in accordance with CySEC regulations and internal risk management frameworks. This role requires solid analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly under CySEC. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement the company’s Risk Management Framework in accordance with CySEC and MiFID II requirements.
• Perform regular risk assessments across all business areas, identifying potential threats and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and update the Risk Register, ensuring that risk indicators are consistently monitored and evaluated.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of ICAAP and Pillar III disclosures.
• Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Collaborate with compliance and internal audit teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Monitor operational, credit, market, liquidity, and reputational risks.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Evaluate third-party/vendor risk and assist in business continuity planning.
• Stay up to date with changes in CySEC regulations and ensure timely implementation of new requirements. 

 Requirements: 
 

• CySEC Advanced Certificate – Mandatory.
• Proven experience in a risk management or compliance role within a CySEC-regulated entity.
• Excellent knowledge of CySEC regulations, MiFID II, and other relevant frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, dashboards, etc.).
• University degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Working Hours: 09:00 to 18:00 with 1 hour lunch break.
