Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Tax, Accountancy and Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Auditor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Auditor you will primarily be responsible for leading and completing audit engagements from planning through to the issuance of final deliverables. You should be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or another related field, and possess at least 2+ years of relevant experience in Audit. Holders of professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CPA Certifications are encouraged to apply, and a strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls is a must. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, performance-based bonus, flexible working hours, Friday afternoon’s off, and paid parking. Standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Identify audit findings, assess risks, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
- Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior auditors assigned to engagements.
- Develop audit programs and testing procedures aligned with audit objectives and risk assessments.
- Obtain, evaluate, and document audit evidence to support conclusions and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit methodologies, company policies, and professional standards.
- Communicate clearly with engagement teams and management to deliver high-quality results.
- Manage priorities effectively to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Pursue continuous professional development and relevant training opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Audit.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA and CPA, will be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
- Ability to analyse business processes and accurately document observations and conclusions.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate small teams while maintaining high-quality standards.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professional judgement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
