Job Description

Libro Group Properties is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, and results-oriented Senior Civil Engineer / Architect to join our growing development team in Cyprus.

This is a key technical and management position responsible for supporting the planning, design, coordination, supervision, and successful delivery of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across Cyprus, while also contributing to the Group’s international projects as the company continues to expand.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

We are looking for a professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and who is eager to grow within a dynamic and expanding real estate development group.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

·         Coordinate and supervise construction and development projects from inception through to completion.

·         Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and overall performance.

·         Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the required quality standards.

·         Assist in preparing project programmes and monitoring construction milestones.

·         Identify project risks and recommend practical solutions.

·         Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.

Design & Technical Coordination

·         Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and technical documentation.

·         Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

·         Ensure technical documentation complies with applicable regulations and project requirements.

·         Review technical specifications and construction details.

·         Participate in value engineering and design optimisation.

Site Supervision

·         Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction quality.

·         Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

·         Monitor contractor performance and project progress.

·         Identify construction issues and recommend effective engineering solutions.

·         Prepare technical and inspection reports.

Cost Control & Procurement

·         Review contractor quotations and technical submissions.

·         Assist in procurement and contractor selection processes.

·         Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.

·         Review contractor payment applications and project variations.

·         Assist in budget preparation and financial monitoring.

Regulatory Compliance

·         Coordinate planning applications, permits, and statutory approvals.

·         Liaise with municipalities and relevant government authorities.

·         Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building codes, and health and safety legislation.

·         Monitor legislative developments affecting construction projects.

Strategic Development

·         Participate in feasibility studies and technical evaluations of new developments.

·         Assist management with land acquisitions and investment opportunities.

·         Provide technical advice during due diligence exercises.

·         Support the development of projects in Cyprus and internationally.

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

·         Professional registration with the relevant professional body in Cyprus or eligibility for registration.

·         Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, architecture, construction, or project management.

·         Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and building regulations.

·         Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments will be considered an advantage.

·         Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project coordination.

·         Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

·         Greek language will be considered a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

The successful candidate should have experience with:

·         AutoCAD

·         Revit

·         Microsoft Project

·         Primavera (advantage)

·         BIM software

·         Microsoft Office Suite

·         Quantity surveying and cost estimation software

·         Construction scheduling and project management tools
