Job Role: Senior Marketing Manager, Events
The Senior Marketing Manager operates within a fast-paced international events environment, managing multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and event launches simultaneously.
Reporting directly to the Head of Event Marketing, the role is responsible for driving the successful execution of event marketing strategies that support audience growth, commercial objectives, brand visibility, and engagement across multiple brands and markets.
The position collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments, sponsors, media partners, agencies, and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact event campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute event marketing strategies aligned with business and commercial objectives.
- Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive registrations, audience engagement, and attendance.
- Coordinate marketing timelines, deliverables, and campaign execution before, during, and after events.
- Work closely with internal teams including Sponsorship, Sales, Event Operations, Design, Content, and Digital Marketing to ensure aligned event promotion.
- Manage event communications including email campaigns, landing pages, social media, PR, paid advertising, and partnerships.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse results, and provide post-event reporting with recommendations for improvement.
- Support sponsor visibility and marketing deliverables as part of partnership agreements.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, media partners, influencers, and suppliers where required.
- Ensure all event marketing activities are delivered within budget and according to deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, audience behaviour, and competitor activity to continuously improve marketing performance.
- Manage, mentor, and support marketing team members to ensure high performance and professional development
- Encourage collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team
Requirements
- Minimum 6–8 years of marketing experience, preferably within Events, Exhibitions, Conferences, B2B Marketing, Fintech, Finance, Technology, Media, or related industries.
- Proven experience in event marketing, conference marketing, audience growth, and multi-channel campaign management.
- Previous experience working for event organisers is highly preferred; however, candidates with strong client-side experience managing event participation, sponsorships, and large-scale event activations will also be considered.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience across digital and performance marketing channels, including Email Marketing, Paid Media & Digital Advertising, Social Media Marketing, CRM & Database Marketing, PR & Media Partnerships, Influencer & Community Marketing, and Content & Website Promotion.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Skills
- Experience within events, exhibitions, media, or fintech industries.
- Knowledge of CRM, email marketing, and marketing automation platforms.
- Familiarity with paid media platforms and analytics tools.
