Job Description

THOMASON Machinery Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team, with responsibility for machinery design, production oversight, testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop machinery, mechanical assemblies and individual components.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and bills of materials.
• Oversee production and assembly, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support to the production team and resolve issues during manufacturing and assembly.
• Carry out machine testing, identify improvements and ensure equipment meets agreed performance requirements.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and follow up on any required adjustments.
• Support installation, commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites in Cyprus and abroad.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in machinery design, mechanical engineering and production supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software. Experience with SolidWorks will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
• Ability to develop projects from initial concept through to detailed mechanical design and manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to design machinery for ease of assembly and maintenance, cost efficiency, reduced risk and high reliability.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the engineering and production teams.
