Job Description

Iacovou Group, one of the most reputable and established Construction Groups in Cyprus, seeks to recruit an experienced and high caliber professional for the position of Site Engineer.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the execution of the project as per the planned construction program
• Awareness of contract documents, coding, standards and specifications of construction
• Assists in the preparation of the daily and monthly progress reports
• Closely coordinates progress of works in line with the work schedule
• Organizes the site activities between the client stakeholders, the project consultants and the project team members, including the site foreman, land and quantity surveyors, operators and workers following the directions of the Project Engineer
• Ensures smooth operations of the site at all times
• Assists in the preparation of work schedules and enquiries for the procurement of materials and subcontracts
• Responsible for the daily site works supervision
• Carries out material reconciliations and monitors material stocks
• Prepares and submits for approval to the Project Engineer all project related outgoing correspondence to clients / project consultants / engineers and other relevant third parties
• Responsible of the Waste Management according to the quality controls and health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures
• Assists in the preparation of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and the Environment Management Plan (QHSSE)
• Keeps records and monitors daily productions
• Liable for plant, material and labour supplies
• Updates the Site Safety File

General Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Member of ETEK
• Previous experience either in Building or Civil Projects will be considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of planning software such as Primavera and/or MS Project Planning and organisation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Project management skills
• Analytical and numerical skills
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Civil Engineering specific knowledge
• Organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English language
