Technical Operations Monitoring Engineer (Shift-Based, 24/7 Coverage) 

 

Location: 

AEON Payment Technology Office (On-Premises) 

 

Job Type & Working Hours: 

Full-time, Rotational Shifts (Day & Night): 

- Day Shift (D): 08:00–20:15 

- Night Shift (N): 20:00–08:15 

- Off Days: 24-hour break 4-week rotation schedule including weekends and public holidays 


Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Monitoring & Support Technician to join our 24/7 Technical Operations team. You will be responsible for monitoring production environment, responding to incidents of Production and UAT environment, and performing initial troubleshooting using given tools. 

This is a shift-based role in a 4-week rotating schedule (day and night shifts) with built-in rest days. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Monitor infrastructure and applications using: 

- AWS CloudWatch 

- Dynatrace 

- System logs 

- Internal dashboards 

- Detect and respond to alerts from production and UAT environments, escalating when necessary. 

-  Perform first-level investigation and resolution using: 

-  SQL 

-  Linux OS commands 

-  Windows Command Prompt 

-  Create and maintain incident tickets with clear documentation of root cause and resolution. 

-  Follow standard operating procedures for incident handling and escalation. 

-  Collaborate with second-line support and on-call engineers when required. 

-  Participate in continuous improvement of monitoring and response processes. 

 

Required Skills: 

Basic understanding of any of the following: 

- SQL 

- Linux OS commands 

- Windows Command Prompt 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation. 

- Good time management and ability to work independently during shifts. 

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends. 

- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

- Familiarity with monitoring tools and dashboards (e.g., Dynatrace, CloudWatch). 

- Prior experience in IT operations, support, or a NOC (Network Operations Center) environment. 

- Exposure to bankcard industry or regulated environments. 

- Certifications in operations, monitoring, or data analysis. 

- Understanding of operational best practices and compliance standards.
