Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Law Firm with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and bookkeeping related tasks, including the calculation and preparation of VAT and VIES submissions, the issuance of invoices, as well as assisting with credit control. An academic background in a relevant field will be considered an advantage, and you will need to possess approximately 3+ years of previous experience in a relevant accounting role, with strong knowledge of VAT & VIES preparation and reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek & English are essential for this position. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:30 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:30 – 15:00 each Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handling of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a law firm.
- Preparation/calculation of VAT & VIES submissions.
- Issuance and control of invoices.
- Credit control.
- Execution of various payments.
- Expenses monitoring.
- Payroll for the law firm.
Key Skills/Experience:
- An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar will be considered an advantage.
- Any relevant accounting qualification/certification such as the LCCI Higher is desirable.
- Approximately 3+ years of previous experience in accounting and bookkeeping is essential.
- Strong knowledge of VAT & VIES preparation and reporting.
- Excellent oral and written command of the Greek and English languages is a must.
- Strong MS Office skills and ideally experience working with Accounting Software.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
