Position: Hotel Waiter / Waitress

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Restaurant & Bar Manager

Summary of Position: The Hotel Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to guests in the hotel’s restaurant, bar, or banquet area. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Greet and seat guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
Serve food and drinks efficiently and according to hotel standards.
Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.
Clear and reset tables quickly between guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
Process guest bills, handle cash or card payments accurately.
Assist with room service orders and banquet events when required.
Adhere to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality training preferred).
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Neat and professional appearance.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
