As a Head Waiter or Head Waitress, you play a leading role in delivering a refined, elegant, and memorable guest experience. You are responsible for guiding the service team, supporting smooth daily operations, and ensuring every guest receives attentive and professional service.
Responsibilities:
Welcoming guests warmly and ensuring they are seated and served with care
Leading and supporting the waiter and waitress team during service
Presenting menus and explaining food, wine, and cocktail options clearly and confidently
Taking orders accurately when needed and ensuring they are entered correctly into the system
Overseeing the timing and quality of food and drink service
Checking on guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction and handle any requests professionally
Coordinating closely with the bar, kitchen, hostess, and management team to ensure smooth service
Ensuring tables, service areas, and the dining room are clean, organized, and beautifully presented
Training, guiding, and motivating junior team members
Handling guest feedback or complaints calmly, politely, and efficiently
Maintaining the glamorous, calm, and welcoming atmosphere of the wine bar
Supporting management with daily service standards and operational needs
Requirements and qualities:
Friendly, well-presented, and highly professional appearance
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of hospitality service standards
Ability to remain calm, organized, and focused during busy service
Confident in dealing with guests and supporting the team
Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and premium guest experiences
Previous experience as a senior waiter, head waiter, or in a similar hospitality role is preferred, especially in premium venues.
