ROLE`S SUMMARYThe Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the internal audit function within the organization. The ideal candidate will oversee audit engagements, assess financial and operational controls, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for evaluating risk management practices, providing insights into the effectiveness of governance processes, and recommending improvements to enhance organizational performance.&nbsp;The role requires a deep understanding of auditing techniques, financial reporting, and a strategic approach to assessing business risks.&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;Audit Planning and Execution:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lead audits of financial, operational, and IT processes to assess control effectiveness and identify risk areas.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance programs, and risk management processes.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare detailed audit programs, testing procedures, and work papers to support audit findings.Team Leadership and Development:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Manage and mentor a team of internal auditors, providing guidance on audit methodologies and professional development.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Review and approve audit workpapers and reports to ensure they are of high quality and meet internal standards.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional excellence within the audit team.&nbsp;Risk Management and Compliance:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Evaluate the organization's risk management processes and make recommendations for improvements.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conduct follow-up reviews on the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.Reporting and Communication:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, the Audit Committee, and other stakeholders.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to management, ensuring clear understanding and actionable outcomes.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide guidance on resolving audit issues and collaborate with departments to improve processes.Continuous Improvement:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Stay updated on industry best practices, changes in regulations, and emerging risks to continually improve audit methodologies.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess the adequacy of internal controls and suggest enhancements to mitigate potential risks.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in auditing practices.&nbsp;REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is required.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in internal auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong understanding of auditing techniques, internal control frameworks, and risk management practices.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate audit findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing audit teams.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
