Job specification
Qualifications
University Degree in Accounting.
Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in the Finance/Accounting area (preferably in the Shipping sector).
Computer literate (Windows environment, Microsoft Word & Excel).
General awareness ISO standards and GDPR requirements.
Excellent knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
Be an EU citizen or have a Work Permit.
Competencies
Good organizational and time management skills.
Effective ‘people skills’; ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organizational structure.
Communication skills; being able to communicate with colleagues at all levels, in a professional manner.
Sound business sense and the ability to work to budgets.
Skill in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and reports.
Ability to present complex issues in a clear and comprehensive way.

Willing to learn and understand the demands and needs of the clients.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Must be able to meet end of month deadlines.

Responsibilities
To support the Finance Department by performing various tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact checking, filing, and other duties, as needed.
