Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting and bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
• Record and review sales, purchases, expenses, bank transactions and other accounting entries
• Perform bank, debtor, creditor and other account reconciliations
• Prepare and review Trial Balances and accounting schedules
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns through the Tax For All (TFA) portal
• Prepare and submit Personal Income Tax Returns (TD1) for individuals
• Prepare and submit Employer’s Tax Returns (TD7) through the Tax For All portal
• Prepare and submit Dividends Tax Returns (TD603)
• Prepare and submit Annual Returns (HE32) to the Registrar of Companies
• Process payroll and prepare relevant submissions to the Social Insurance Department using payroll software
• Register new taxpayers, both individuals and companies, with the Tax Department through the Tax For All portal
• Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding information and documentation
• Ensure all accounting, tax and payroll work is completed accurately and within required deadlines

Requirements

• University or College degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting/VAT, with good knowledge of accounting principles and book-keeping work
• Experience using accounting and payroll software, preferably BTMS software
• Practical experience in Cyprus accounting and VAT/Tax compliance 
• Experience with the Tax For All (TFA) portal for VAT, TD7 submissions
• Experience in the preparation and submission of TD603 Dividends Tax Returns and HE32 Annual Returns
• Experience with payroll processing using payroll software and Social Insurance forms submissions
• Experience with taxpayer registration (Individual & Companies) through the Tax For All portal
• Very good written and verbal command of both Greek and English
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Professional attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
