Accountant, Nicosia – AC/10/26 (Remote)

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
The person will be working as part of a broader team in the accounting ensuring that all accounting transactions are properly recorded and managed. The core duties will be to:
 

• Manage all aspects of the company’s financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank statements and financial accounts.
• Process payroll, including deductions and employee reimbursements.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
• Income tax forecasting
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT
• Oversee end-of-year closing and work with auditors for financial reviews.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard assets.

Position’s Requirements

• University degree holder in Accounting, Economics or any other relevant field or Holder of LCCI Higher
• At least 3 years of experience working in the accounting field and preferably in international companies
• Experience in VAT regulations, Social Insurance services, and Tax authorities
• Very good numerical skills. Strong analytical skills and experience with designing economic models would be an asset too.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
• Knowledge of Accounting software
• Organizational and planning skills
• Detail Orientation
• Communication skills
