Communications Officer
The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is a leading research university ranked in the Top 501-600 in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
UNIC Health, supporting the strategic growth of its Medical and Veterinary Schools, seeks a full-time Communications Officer based in Nicosia to join its Team.
Main Responsibilities:
· Create and edit content in Greek and English for press releases, newsletters, websites and social-media channels
· Plan, administer and staff mobile-clinic expeditions twice a month (usually Saturdays or Sundays)
· Coordinate and support events—graduations, guest lectures and community activities—covering logistics and promotion
· Review and edit marketing materials for the Schools and partner organisations
· Manage internal and external media relations
Requirements:
· Undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or a related field
· Fluent written and spoken Greek and English, with at least three years’ relevant experience
· Strong time-management skills and the ability to set priorities
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365, social-media platforms and WordPress
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high standards
· Basic photography and video-editing skills will be considered an advantage
· Willingness to work evenings or additional weekends when events require
The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
