Job Description

On behalf of our client, one of the largest construction companies in Cyprus, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health and Safety Officer.

 

Τhe Company is licensed as an A – Class Contractor, allowing to handle projects of any size and complexity. Due to its size and structure, the Company can operate with flexibly to match the needs of its clients. It has been in the market for over 60 years and has built a reputation for quality, efficiency and reliability.

 

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join the team of the Company and take an active role in the design, coordination and technical support of the architectural projects. The role requires a strong technical background, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and a practical understanding of the transition from design to construction

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all company activities comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements in relation to Health, Safety and Environment.

Prepare and manage Health and Safety Plans and Files.

Monitor and manage Health and Safety matters across the company’s construction sites.

Conduct risk assessments and monitor the implementation of preventive and corrective measures.

Carry out site inspections, record and investigate accidents or incidents, and participate in safety meetings.

Prepare safety method statements, task risk assessments and reports for management.

Provide Health and Safety training to personnel and maintain the relevant records.

Inspect machinery, lifting equipment, scaffolding and other equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Practical and responsible professional with a strong site presence and attention to detail.

Ability to solve problems and manage multiple matters in a demanding project environment.

Effective communication with clients, employees, subcontractors and senior management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Engineering.

Member of ETEK.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in Health and Safety.

Health and Safety certification, such as NEBOSH IGC, will be considered an advantage.

Excellent command of the Greek and English languages.

Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
