Job Overview
We are looking for an Infrastructure Field Engineer to join our Systems Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate will be based at our premises and visit client premises across Cyprus as required, supporting organizations in the banking, insurance, healthcare, legal and public sectors. The role will involve installing, maintaining and supporting the systems on which our clients rely on to run their daily operations.
As a member of our team, the successful candidate will install, troubleshoot and maintain servers and storage systems, handle hardware break/fix activities in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and contribute to rollouts and migrations in live client environments.
You will gain experience across a diverse range of client systems, undertake proactive maintenance and progressively develop towards more senior systems engineering responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain servers and storage at client sites.
- Perform hardware break/fix activities, upgrades and replacements in line with agreed SLAs.
- Support infrastructure rollouts and migrations in live client environments, taking on increased responsibility as your experience develops.
- Carry out proactive maintenance on client infrastructure, both remotely and on-site.
- Respond to and resolve customer support tickets.
- Resolve incidents escalated by the Network Operations Centre (NOC) or Service Desk that require hands-on support.
- Coordinate with the Technical Services Manager and Team Lead to manage schedules and priorities across multiple client sites.
Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Working knowledge of server and client operating systems, as well as hybrid environments, including Microsoft and Linux technologies.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with server hardware (HPE or equivalent) and storage devices (NAS or equivalent).
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to client sites across Cyprus.
- Very good written and spoken Greek and English.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Good planning and prioritisation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Relevant vendor or industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft).
- Previous experience within a managed service provider (MSP) or systems integrator.
