ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor (External Associate)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor to collaborate with us as an external associate. This role is ideal for independent professionals who can deliver high-quality Information Security Management System (ISMS) audits on a project or assignment basis, in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 and relevant accreditation requirements.

Scope of Work

• Conduct Stage 1 and Stage 2 ISO/IEC 27001 audits on behalf of our organization
• Assess client compliance with ISMS requirements
• Review documentation, including risk assessments and Statements of Applicability (SoA)
• Identify nonconformities and prepare clear, professional audit reports
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls
• Follow up on corrective actions where required
• Maintain accurate audit records in line with agreed procedures and accreditation requirements

Associate Requirements

• Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor (e.g. IRCA, PECB, or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience conducting ISO 27001 audits independently
• Strong understanding of:
  • Information security principles
  • Risk assessment methodologies
  • Annex A controls
• Solid knowledge of IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity practices
• Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR)
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work autonomously and manage audit assignments efficiently

Preferred Experience

• Experience with additional standards (e.g. ISO 22301, ISO 20000)
• Previous work with a certification body
• Proven ability to manage multiple audit engagements concurrently

Engagement Model

• Assignment-based / project-based collaboration
• Flexible scheduling depending on audit demand
• Remote and/or on-site audits depending on client requirements
