Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies operating in the Corporate & Financial Services sectors, we are seeking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end users, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or another relevant field, who posses sound knowledge of Windows OS and the MS Office Suite, as well as a basic understanding of Active Directory, LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies. Previous experience in a similar of at least 1+ year is highly desirable, although Recent Graduates are also welcome to apply. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email and in-person covering hardware, operating systems, and software troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and support Microsoft based IT infrastructure throughout the company.
- Perform local and remote testing on equipment, including running computer programs to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Support the roll-out of new applications and migration to new technologies.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Conduct routine system audits and maintain server system inventory and documentation.
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Install in-house software and reports and provide user training where required.
- Test system modified programs to ensure user data accuracy and modifications have no adverse impact on systems operation.
- Assist with user accounts administration and access control systems.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including network connectivity and performance issues.
- Support IT projects, such as system upgrades, software deployments, and network expansions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
- Stay up to date on the latest IT trends and technologies.
- Perform any other related projects and duties as assigned.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in an IT support role is preferred; however, entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), Group Policy, Terminal servers.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
- Knowledge in designing and developing in-house .NET and SQL Server based applications and reports will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent command Greek and English.
