Short description:

 

The Marketing & Communications Officer is responsible for implementing the company’s social media plan and the marketing initiatives and events to promote the company’s brand and achievements. 

 

Main areas of responsibility include:

 

A. Improve the financial performance: 

  • Assist in the annual departmental budget preparation and in the control of the operational expenses of the department 
  • Participate in the implementation of projects and tasks to fulfil company’s objectives as per the agreed standards, timescales and budget.

B. Improve the company image & stakeholders’ relations: 

  • Maintain the company’s social media accounts up to date on a day-to-day basis to ensure that Hermes and airport community’s activities and services are promoted 
  • Create and publish consistent, engaging and creative content for company’s social media accounts  
  • Create and implement social media campaigns and monitor their effectiveness  
  • Partner with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that Hermes and airport community’s activities and services are promoted through social media accounts 
  • Monitor and assess the company’s social media online presence and usage by using analytical tools and make recommendations to increase traffic 
  • Identify potential opportunities and make recommendations to use social media accounts to ensure that Hermes and airport community’s activities and services are promoted  
  • Respond to the queries and comments of the social media users in a timely manner 
  • Participate in the implementation of all marketing initiatives and events according to customers’ requests, timescales and budget, monitor the initiatives’ performance and provide recommendations for the optimisation of future initiatives 
  • Establish and maintain solid relations with other departments, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective overall coordination, support and exchange of information 
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to the day-to-day requirements of internal customers, tenants and subcontractors 
  • Represent the company respectfully and with dignity at various meetings and industry related events and conferences both in Cyprus and abroad 
  • Consistently exhibit professional behaviour, both in good and challenging times in alignment with the corporate and personal values 

C. Improve the business processes: 

  • Ensure that decisions taken regarding own work are in alignment with the required laws, regulations, concession agreement and the company's policies and procedures 
  • Provide recommendations and suggest possible solutions for improving own work, departmental and organisational effectiveness 
  • Make suggestions to improve the efficiency of the department's IT systems by proposing additions/modifications in line with user requirements 
  • Assist in the development and update of procedures and programs related to marketing and communication activities and ensure their successful implementation 
  • When needed perform other related duties as assigned from time to time to support the departmental needs.

D. Improve productivity & growth: 

  • Share knowledge, information and experiences with colleagues in an effective, transparent, respectful and genuine manner 
  • Remain current on all areas/developments relevant to the profession and position 
  • Work collectively with colleagues and offers support and guidance aiming to achieve the company's objectives 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • BSc in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Media, Literature or any other related field
  • Master’s degree in business or any other related field will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Very good knowledge of Greek and English languages (verbal and writing)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Power Point, Excel) and Canva, Photoshop and video editing
