Mechanical Design Engineer
ENGINO is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Mechanical Design Engineer to our Limassol centre or Nicosia centre. There are 2 available positions.

Main Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the Research, Design, Development and Implementation of DIY projects using
the Engino parts, 3D printer, laser cutter and other wood processing equipment that allow children from the age of 3 to 16+ to make their own technical device or toy. The developed projects would include the parts, models and lesson plans for students as well as teacher guide.
· Design new products for toy or education along with their play-concepts, plastic or other parts,
casings models, experiments, building instructions, etc.
· Work closely as part of ENGINO educational team as well as the R&D people in various departments
(Marketing, Product Design, Software and electronics Development, Graphics etc).
· Develop the work using various software, some of which are proprietary to the company such as
KEIRO and some that are more generic such as TINKERCAD, MAKECODE, SCRATCH, INVENTOR, SOLIDWORKS, COREL DRAW and PHOTOSHOP.
· Teach and test the STEM & Makerspace lessons developed to students aged 4-15+, both in-house
at the ENGINO Centres and to schools and other locations when needed, collect data and work with the rest of the team and any external partners to analyse data and write reports and papers for publishing in Academic Journals.
· Participate at various school visits or events organized at the store or externally.
· Analyse the D&T and STEM curriculum for all levels of K12 for Cyprus and research on other key countries curriculum as well as latest Publications and Pedagogical trends to develop the methodology and framework of the lesson plans, mapping the developed lesson plans to the curriculum, proposing also new chapters and skills that we aspire to be embraced by Ministries of Education in the future.
· Develop user manuals and teacher guides as well as teacher training programs.
· Present at Conferences and Teacher events.
· When at the store, the Employee must be helpful to other needs requested ad hoc, such as to operate the POS machine, process customer payments, aid with sales and presentations to customers, support the operations and registrations of students and in general provide help with what the company requires for more efficient operations and better customer experience.
Qualifications required:
· A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Education Science (S.T.E.M.)
· Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks), 3D printing, laser cutting, or platforms like Arduino or Microbit is an advantage—but not required!
· A passion for creativity, hands-on learning, and innovation.
· Enthusiasm for teaching and working with children and adults.
· Junior engineers are encouraged to apply.
Remuneration and work hours:
Salary starts from 1500 –1700 gross per month depending on the candidates experience. Plus a 13th salary. The work hours are 45 per week, spread over 6 days including Saturday.
The position is in Limassol or Nicosia and work will be split between the head office in Ypsonas and the ENGINO STEM Centre at Limassol/Nicosia, where the STEM and ROBOTIC workshops are offered.
