The Nicosia office opened in 1998; we currently have over 320 dynamic employees – and are looking to have more to join our teams across various functions.
Role in Brief
Work with the IT development team to design and develop our internal and client-facing APIs in the rapidly changing environment of alternative.
Insights to the Role
- Development and support of APIs and plugins (Add-ins)
- Support User Authentication framework (SSO/ 2FA)
- Designing and developing software in cooperation with business users
- Apply advanced software engineering techniques to support CI and weekly releases
- Observing a test-driven development process
- Accurately estimating required development time
- Refactoring existing code to improve security, maintainability, efficiency, resilience and the user experience
- Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies, user experience, maintainability and resilience
- Stay abreast of new technological and design developments
Who You Are
- A degree in Computer Science or a science degree with programming experience or equivalent practical experience
- At least 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of Java
- Experience with implementing APIs, Spring Framework, Angular or Microsoft Office Add-ins will be considered a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Oauth, Azure, Okta, Ping, etc. will be considered an advantage
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Working in teams with other developers, business analysts, business users in an international environment
- Work outside of normal business hours might be required in case of urgent bug fixes
- Abide by the Communication Group policies and procedures as well as the Albourne Group’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to compliance reporting, HFDB filing, Information, Communications & Cyber Security Policy, Expense & Travel Policy, etc.
- Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals
- Attend company events upon request
- Occasional travel might be requested
