Why we need you: We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead and scale MCTC’s global commercial function s a fast-growing international maritime services group. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding our global client base, and leading all commercial and business development activities across multiple regions. Working closely with the CEO, you will help shape and execute the company’s growth strategy and support its ongoing international expansion.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Defining and executing the company’s global commercial strategy to support sustainable growth.
- Driving revenue growth across existing and new markets.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Leading market expansion initiatives across key regions including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
- Owning and managing the full commercial pipeline from origination to closing.
- Leading client acquisition, retention, and key account development initiatives.
- Overseeing contract negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Representing the company at international conferences, industry events, and high-level meetings.
- Strengthening the company’s global brand presence and market positioning.
- Leading, developing, and scaling the global commercial team.
- Establishing KPIs, targets, and performance frameworks to drive commercial success.
- Ensuring alignment between commercial and operational teams.
- Working closely with the CEO on strategic opportunities and key client relationships.
- Providing market intelligence and insights to support decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and contributing to continuous improvement of commercial processes.
You need these qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role (CCO, Commercial Director, or equivalent).
- Strong network within maritime, shipping, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to originate, develop, and close high-value deals.
- International experience across multiple regions and markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution ability.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
- A passion for the maritime industry.
It would be nice if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-growing or international organisation.
- Experience within the shipping or maritime industry (a strong advantage, though not essential).
- Based in Cyprus (preferred), though the role offers flexibility in location.
