Job Description

We are seeking an IP Network Engineer to join our IP Network team, contributing to the design, operation, and evolution of our service provider network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work on challenging projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and support the continuous advancement of our network platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, implementation, operation, optimization, and maintenance of IP networks
• Support the planning and operation of Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 network infrastructure
• Perform daily operational checks across Access IP platforms (BNG, DHCP, RADIUS, Metro IP rings, CMTS/PON, DNS, CPE)
• Provision & Troubleshoot customer-related services in the Access Network and CPEs
• Work on diverse platforms of FTTx(GPON+P2P), DOCSIS, and their supporting systems to successfully deliver and troubleshoot customer services
• Coordinate and supervise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all requirements are captured, designed, and implemented on time
• Review and assist in the creation of documentation, dashboards, reports, and network KPIs for reporting to management
• Work closely with platform vendor(s) for network evolution and support
• Participate in scheduled and emergency maintenance activities and handle escalated incidents
• Participate in network acceptance and validation tests, including CPE firmware and ACS testing (TR-069, IPv6 provisioning, Wi-Fi checks)
• Provide Level 2 support to the Network Operation Centre for Network & security incidents and Level 3 support for customer-related incidents

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications & Networks, or related field
• At least 4 years of experience in ISP or Enterprise Networking environments
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
• Experience with virtual platforms and Linux operating systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent command of English and Greek
