Junior AML Officer
Job Description
The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our growing AML team. The successful candidate will join an international environment and support the implementation of internal practices, measures, procedures, and controls relevant to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Support the AML/CFT Compliance Officer in implementing Trading Point’s internal practice, measures, procedures and controls relevant to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
- Escalate cases and issues related to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing to the AML/CFT Compliance Officer upon detection.
- Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures for new and existing customers.
- Conduct PEP's & Sanction screening.
- Review KYC files and obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Conduct investigations, obtain necessary information, and prepare analytical reports.
- Communicate with clients and Trading Point’s employees to update relevant files, update risk classification, and escalate any cases to the AML/CFT Compliance Officer.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the AML/CFT Compliance Officer.
Main requirements:
- BSc Degree in Business / Finance / Economics / Law or any other related degree.
- Experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamworking skills.
- High level of ethics, integrity, and transparency.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
